Abstract Submission Guidelines
Submission Process:
- Deadline: Please send abstracts as email attachments or through the abstract submission portal on the NWC 2025 Website before the specified deadline.
- Format: Use plain American English to ensure clarity and focus on the scientific content.
Required Information:
- Author Details: Include full name, email address, and affiliation of the submitting author and biography and recent photography of the author
- Abstract Title: Provide a clear and concise title reflecting the research content.
- Presentation Preference: Indicate if the submission is for an oral or poster presentation.
- Scientific Session: Specify the session or track most relevant to your abstract.
General Guidelines:
- No Limits: Submit any number of abstracts, provided they meet submission criteria.
- Unique Submissions: Submit each abstract only once. Duplicate submissions will be rejected.
- Original Work: Ensure all submissions are original and not under consideration elsewhere.
Review Process:
- Abstracts undergo a review by an internal panel of experts.
- Quality, relevance, and originality will be assessed.
- Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent within two days.
Speaker Guidelines
General Instructions:
- Attend the session from start to finish to stay informed of changes.
- Each speaker has a 20-minute slot, including Q&A. Stick to the time limit.
- Presentations must be in English.
Presentation Requirements:
- Prepare presentations in PPT or PDF format. Ensure slides are clear and engaging.
- Submit presentation files 15 days prior for review.
- Bring a backup on a flash drive or pen drive.
Poster Guidelines:
- Standard Size: Posters should measure 1 meter wide by 1 meter long.
- Preparation: Participants must prepare and print their posters in advance. On-site printing services will not be available.
- Design Tips: Ensure your poster is explicit, well-organized, and follows the guidelines. Use visuals effectively to enhance understanding.
Poster Setup and Dimensions:
- Locate designated space at least one hour before the session.
- Posters should be 1 meter by 1 meter.
- Prepare and print posters in advance; no on-site printing is available.
Presentation Guidelines:
- Stay by your poster during the session for interaction.
- Prepare well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
- Collect your poster post-session; organizers are not responsible for uncollected posters.
Best Practices:
- Use clear text and visuals. Avoid overloading slides.
- Practice to fit within time and maintain logical flow.
- Follow committee instructions for a smooth experience.
Virtual Presentation Guidelines:
- Present from home comfortably.
- Unique user ID will be sent days before the webinar.
- Arrive 20-30 minutes early to address technical issues.
- Allot 20 minutes for the presentation and Q&A.
- Have the presentation and slides ready in advance on your device.
- Consider sending a recorded presentation 10 days prior if unable to attend live.
- Test internet, audio, and video to avoid disruptions.
Certification:
- All Participants will receive a certificate with their name and affiliation.
- Certificates will be distributed at the end of the conference session.
- For virtual participation, participation certificates will be sent within 2-3 working days.
- Co-authors not registered will not receive certificates.
Awards for Presentations:
- Clarity and Organization of your Presentation: Presentations should be clear, concise, and well-organized, following a logical flow of information.
- Professional Visual Aids: Enhance the content with visually appealing and professional aids, such as PowerPoint slides.
- Time Management: Presenters must stay within the allotted time, typically 20 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.
- Effective Communication: Employ practical communication skills, including eye contact, clear articulation, and audience engagement.
- Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the topic and provide evidence-based information. Innovative and original presentation approaches are highly encouraged.
- Respect for Schedule: Adhere to the allocated time to maintain the conference schedule.
- Concise Content: Avoid lengthy paragraphs or excessive bullet points; highlight your message with visuals and key points.
- Audience Engagement: Engage the audience by explaining your material instead of reading slides word-for-word.
- Accessible Language: Ensure your language is clear and understandable for a diverse audience.
