Biography
Prof. Dr. dr. H. Soewadi, MPH, PhD, Sp.KJ(K), born on January 11, 1943, in Bukittinggi, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta. He completed his medical degree (1971), psychiatry specialization (1984), Master of Public Health in Belgium (1984), and doctoral degree (1992) at UGM. A former Head of the Department and teaching block coordinator, Prof. Soewadi is known for his expertise in forensic psychiatry, biological psychiatry, community and cultural psychiatry, and addiction. He actively participates in seminars and trainings and runs a private practice in Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta. He integrates academic excellence with teaching and community mental health service
