Biography
I am Dr. Istikhar Ali, holding a Ph.D. from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and a DAAD Fellowship from the University of Göttingen, Germany. Currently, I serve as a project manager at the Venu Geriatric Institute, overseeing the Harmonized Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia for the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI-DAD). My research focuses on the impact of dementia on caregiver mental health and social networks. I provide valuable insights into understanding the complexities of social phenomena, addressing pivotal questions related to dementia patients, caregivers, and the well-being of marginalized communities.
