Vascular Dementia

Understanding Vascular Dementia and its Impact on Cognitive Function

Vascular dementia occurs from blood flow impairment to the brain, usually from stroke or alterations in the brain’s blood vessels. The result is cognitive decline, memory problems, and challenges with even basic activities. Vascular dementia is often forgotten but has a large public health burden. Being aware of its causes and treatment options can help improve better management. The Dementia Research Conference brings together scientists and clinicians focused on groundbreaking dementia studies. The Dementia World Conference (DWC) will take place in 2025 and aims to present new research on various forms of dementia, including vascular dementia, and discuss optimal methods to enhance the quality of life of individuals living with these conditions.
